Beans and Cheese On Toast

Beans and cheese on toast is quite a simple recipe, very easy to prepare, and yet is very delicious. It is made by topping toasted bread with beans and cheese.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices brown bread , lightly buttered
  • 1/2 cup processed cheese , cut into 1 cm. (10 mm) cubes
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 225g baked beans
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Note

Beans and cheese on toast is very easy to make, but yet is a real treat for the taste buds.

Directions

Step 1
Melt half the butter in a pan and add the dry red chilli flakes.
Step 2
Add the baked beans and stir for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the cheese, mix well and keep aside.
Step 3
Apply the remaining butter on th bread slices and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (350°f) for 2 minutes till each is lightly toasted.
Step 4
Place a lettuce leaf on each slice.
Step 5
Spread a generous portion of the baked beans and cheese mixture on it.
Step 6
Serve immediately.
