Mexican Grilled Sandwich

Sandwiches are very popular worldwide. There are countless varieties of sandwiches available. Here is a Mexican version of mouthwatering grilled sandwich. A must try!

  • 12 bread slices
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 boiled potato
  • 1 green chillies, chopped finely
  • 1 cup boiled corn
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chilli sauce
  • 1 cup white sauce
  • pepper to taste
  • salt to taste

For White Sauce

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour

Step 1
Prepare white sauce by heating 1 tablespoon butter in a pan.
Step 2
Add all purpose flour. Fry lightly. Add milk.
Step 3
Stir till it becomes like sauce.
Step 4
Add chopped onion, tomato, potatoes, green chillies, boiled corn, half cheese, salt and pepper.
Step 5
Lightly toast the bread slices.
Step 6
Apply butter on one side only.
Step 7
Spread the white sauce and vegetable mixture on the buttered side.
Step 8
Put the remaining grated cheese on top.
Step 9
Sprinkle tomato and chilli sauce and bake at 350 degree F or 160 degree C for 10 mins or till cheese melts.
Step 10
Serve hot.
