Tomato Omelette

Eggless omelette, quick and simple to make, sinfully delicious, suitable for both vegans and vegetarians.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Gram Flour
  • 1 Onion finely cut
  • 1 Tomato finely cut
  • 1 Tomato sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 teaspoons Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chili powder
  • Bread slices as needed
  • salt to taste

Note

Though the name omelette, it has no eggs at all. Delicious, yet quick to make, it is suitable for both vegans and vegetarians.

Directions

Step 1
Mix gram flour, tomato, onion, turmeric powder, chili powder, oil, salt, baking soda and water into a medium thick batter.
Step 2
Heat a skillet or non stick pan, smear it with oil, spread the batter and place a tomato slice in the centre.
Step 3
When cooked, pour a teaspoon of oil over it and flip it over.
Step 4
Cook until done and serve with tomato sauce and toasted bread.
